Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion, green bell pepper, and garlic to the pot and sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
